What is a Sensory Lending Library?
The Sensory Lending Library holds specialized sensory equipment, books, DVDs, and CD-ROMs that can be borrowed.

Why a Sensory Lending Library?

One of the core deficits of a child with autism is limited interest in activities or play. Sometimes a child’s sensory needs interfere with their ability to play and even function day-to-day. When a child’s sensory needs are met, they are more comfortable and organized for learning and social opportunities. Borrowing equipment allows a family to try specialized equipment to see if it will work for them prior to purchasing.

When and Where will the Library be available?

The Library will be located in the PAS office at the Harding Family Center located at 411 N. 15th Street, Suite 105, Coeur d’Alene, ID 83814.

Access to the Library is available every Tuesdays from 10 am to 1p and Fridays 9:30am to 11:30 am.  Evenings by appointment.

How can I access the Sensory Lending Library?

Families must sign PAS’s Checkout Agreement which states the policies and guidelines of the Library. Items may be checked out for up to 4 weeks at a time. There is a one-time fee of $40 per family to access the Sensory Lending Library materials.
